About the Washoku World Challenge

The Washoku World Challenge is a cooking contest for Japanese cuisine chefs from all over the world who are passionate about Japanese food and are continually striving to deepen their knowledge and expertise. The contest, now in its 7th year, is organized by the country’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, for non-Japanese chefs.
The theme for this year's contest is "Texture and Mouthfeel".
Chefs who win the qualifying tournaments in Asia, Europe, and North America will be invited to compete in the final tournament held in Tokyo on February 20th and 21st, 2020. Don't miss this rare opportunity to show the world your love for Japanese cuisine!
